I woke up this morning craving baseball. I just want baseball season to start! I want to spend my evening knitting in front of the Mariners!
It is only days away – but I want it now! Maybe it has something to do with the cold wet weather we have been having. Or the cold-and-flu season lingering – bleh! I have been battling the blahs and nothing sounds appealing except the crack of the bat and the fresh green diamond and the guys all spruce in their uniforms laughing and loving the game. Sigh.
Still a few days to go.
I guess we are going to watch those college basketball games and that is okay – I get a lot of knitting done during basketball because I don’t actually watch the game. And there is Easter to celebrate. So, you would think I could keep it together – at least stay distracted!
I asked George to pick up a couple of baseball movies today (brilliant!). And I will just have to think of Bull Durham and A League Of Their Own as my own Spring Training.
